Day 1 : BANGKOK
- We visit the splendid Grand Palace, as well as Wat Pho. The afternoon is free to enjoy many of the other sights in Bangkok; Chainatown, the Nationnal Museum, Vimanmek Palace or Jim Thompson's house to name but a few.
Day 2 : BANGKOK-TRANG
- A few day in Bangkok before talking the overnight train to Trang. You may like to take an option long tailed boat around the canals 'klongs' of the the city-an exciting and rewarding trip experiencing life on the waterways. (B)
Day 3-4 : KOH HAI
- Arriving in Trang, transfer to Pakmeng Pier and take a boat (abount 1 hour) to this small forested island. Spend two fulldays on this paradise island and it is the perfect spot to forget your worries, let's relax and unwind. We include a half-day trip by boat to the little know Trang Andaman Island for Koh Muk, where we stop off to visit the stunning "Emeralnd Cave (Tham Morakot)" -a limestone tunnel that stretches for 80 meters to emerge in an open pool, wich has a beautiful emeral color. Other options include snorkeling near our bungalow or walking through the forested interior to the other side of the island. (B)
Day 5-6 : KOH LANTA
- This idyllic island is 25 kilometers long, with a sleep ridge forming a forested interior. The inhabitants are largely Muslim and arrived here from Malaysia over 200 years ago. There are superb deserted beaches to wander along or a forested interior to explore. Though less dramatic then Phi Phi, for real island aficiandos, the quiet friendly atmospherenof Koh Lanta is hard to beat and if your resort faces west, then it is perfectly situated for the sunset "Mai Tai" cocktail. (B)
Day 7-8-9 : KOH PHI PHI
- Next we head sounth on a local ferry to the Phi Phi island. Here, magnificent limestone cliffs rise out of the water while warm waves crash on the brilliant white sand. The undulating island is coverred with rich vegetation and bright flowers. we have the chance to take a boat trip around the island stopping at a cavern, whrere locals climb up precarious ladders to find swallows nests, an expensive delicacy used in 'bird's nest soup, - a well know Asian aphrodisiac! There is world-class nsorkelling and diving off the exotic coral reef near Phi Phi Island, and shoals of rainbow-coloured fish are easily seen in the clear waters. Keen snorkellers will appreciate the steep reefs and the possibility up to 30 meters. Walking up to the 'viewpoint' for sunset is recommended with sweeping views back across the 2 bays of Phi Phi Island. (B)
Day 10-11 :
- Another local ferry takes us to Krabi where we have a full free day to relax on the beach. Alternatively, for the more active, there is the opportunity to try some Sea Kayaking. This is a wonderful way of exploring the rugged limestone coastline of this region and allows plenty of time for swim-stops on secluded beaches. Lifejackets and full instruction are provide. We then will fly back to Bangkok to connect with your flight home.
